WebCT and KSU NetID

Beginning with fall term 2003, access to WebCT courses for both faculty and students will be through the use of the KSU NetID.

To determine your username and activate your account under NetID, go to the KSU NetID Account Page and click on "Sign up Now!" (Note- you may get a security warning when you go to this page. If so, you should select to "always accept" the identity of the server.)

Questions:

Why is this being done?

This is the first step toward reducing the number of different log-ins that you will need. Students will use the same username and password for accessing WebCT and their email. Other systems like Groupwise will be brought under the same password system in the future.

How can passwords be reset?

Passwords can be reset through the KSU NetID Account Page. Faculty will no longer be able to reset passwords for students.
