WebCT Workshop Syllabus
Adding a Single Page of HTML
While there is a Syllabus Tool in WebCT, we have
found that most faculty already have a syllabus in electronic form.
In addition, we have found that there are some file management issues
with the Syllabus Tool. Your syllabus must be in html format to
begin this process.
- From the Home page, choose Designer Options from the black
navigation bar at the top of your page.
- Choose Add Page or Tool by scrolling down to the blue letter
link.
- Choose from the heading Pages/URL's - Single Page and choose
the gray Add button from the bottom or top of that page..
- Fill in a title for your icon to appear on the Home page. Ex: Syllabus,
in the box at #1.
- In the Page filename box of #2., choose Browse and then
upload your syllabus into My Files.
- Choose the Radio Button of the icon and Pick.
- In #3, you can choose the second check box for the default
icon and default location of the Homepage.
- Be sure to choose the gray Add button in #4.
NOTE: If there are graphics associated with
your document, you must first go to File Manager, make a
directory for your page and upload your graphic as a .gif or .jpg
file in order for the HTML to show the graphic.
